Bulk quantities and customized supply requirements are available for professional buyers.
Cumin Oil is a volatile essential oil obtained from the fruits/seeds of Cuminum cyminum, a member of the Apiaceae family.
The oil's characteristic aroma is largely associated with cuminaldehyde (4-isopropylbenzaldehyde). Other important constituents include γ-terpinene, β-pinene and α-pinene. The relative concentration of these compounds can vary according to geographical origin, cultivar, seed maturity, storage and distillation conditions.
Cumin essential oil is commercially produced primarily by steam distillation, although hydrodistillation and other extraction technologies have also been studied.
