Aloe Butter is a functional cosmetic butter designed to combine the properties of Aloe vera-derived ingredients with a lipid-based butter carrier. Commercial manufacturing approaches vary: some products use coconut oil/fatty fractions, while others incorporate hydrogenated vegetable oil and tocopherol to obtain the desired semi-solid texture.
For example, Hallstar's Biochemica Aloe Butter is based on Hydrogenated Coconut Oil and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, while another current commercial Aloe Butter contains 20% Aloe Vera extract and 80% coconut oil. Other commercial formulations contain aloe, coconut oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil and tocopherol.
Therefore, Aloe Butter should be treated as a defined commercial blend rather than as a single chemically standardized botanical ingredient.
