Avocado Butter is a rich botanical cosmetic butter derived from Avocado (Persea americana) fruit oil and structured into a soft, spreadable butter. It is valued for its emollient properties, smooth skin feel and suitability for skin-care, hair-care, lip-care and body-care formulations.
Avocado Butter is a specialty botanical butter based on the lipid-rich flesh of the avocado fruit. Commercial manufacturing approaches vary: many grades are produced by blending avocado fruit oil with hydrogenated vegetable oils, while some grades use hydrogenated avocado oil or alternative plant-based structuring systems.
The resulting material is generally a soft to semi-hard butter with good spreadability and a rich, comfortable skin feel. Avocado oil is naturally dominated by oleic acid, with palmitic, linoleic and palmitoleic acids also contributing significantly to its lipid profile.
Avocado Butter is particularly useful in formulations where the formulator wants the richness of a botanical butter combined with the emollient character of avocado oil. Commercial suppliers position it for creams, lotions, balms, massage products, soaps, hair conditioners and other personal-care formulations.
